Ceejay Publishing takes its name from Carol and Jim and was formed in 1985 with the production of our first book, 'Victorian Hoylake'. This was a re-issue of the original booklet written by Charles Roberts published as a series of articles by the Hoylake Free Press in 1914-15 under the title 'Changes in the History of Hoylake in 50 years'.

Our particular interest is local history and since 1985 we have published a variety of other works which can be previewed and purchased by clicking on any of the menu buttons

Enthusiastic volunteer needed for local historical site

  • interested in the history of Greasby?
  • fit and energetic?
  • a good organiser?

The site of the old village pump at the corner of Pump Lane was restored in 1980 under Jim O'Neil's voluntary leadership. Since then most of the upkeep has been carried out by Jim and his friends who regularly visit the site to keep it spruced up. The site currently needs some attention and after 31 years (preparations having begun in 1978), Jim is seeking a suitable successor.
